Aldby Field Farm, York
This project involved the re modelling of parts of the existing traditional building and the addition of a more contemporary garden room extension.
The main objectives of the project were to open up the central core of the house to include the kitchen and dining spaces and combine them with a second sitting area with views on three sides.
Access to the first floor was also re examined and a new oak and glass staircase fitted.
The use of oak, render and brickwork combined with a zinc standing seam roof provides a contrasting addition to the existing building.
